Independence Day – a time for food, family, and fireworks. But it’s also a time to celebrate patriotism, and for us to reflect on the company we’ve become. We recently marked our 41st year of North American manufacturing and through the years, with recessions and growing competition from overseas, we’re very proud of the accomplishments we’ve achieved. To mark our pride, we have begun stamping “Made in North America” on every box we ship from our facility. We’re proud of this accomplishment and feel it’s an important aspect that enables us to maintain the momentum of being a leader in the industry.

If your festivities involve fireworks and grilling, we’d like to pass along important fire extinguisher safety tips, thanks to our friends at the National Fire Protection Association:

• Pull the pin; hold the extinguisher with the nozzle pointing away from you, and release the locking mechanism;
• Aim low; point the extinguisher at the base of the fire;
• Squeeze the lever slowly and evenly;
• Sweep the nozzle from side-to-side.
