MIJA – Commitment to North American Manufacturing

Recently, Walmart reiterated its commitment to North American manufacturing, specifically mentioning 44 companies located in Arkansas who produce 73 brands and 1,700 items currently stocked in their stores. A company representative stated that “the economics of manufacturing [overseas] is changing.” During the next decade, Walmart is investing $50 billion to promote U.S.-made products, offering longer contracts to U.S. suppliers so they can invest in their facilities.

At MIJA, we couldn’t agree more with Walmart’s effort to promote North American manufacturing. We take great pride in the skilled manufacturing workforce in our facilities in Massachusetts and Mexico. Our assembly services, whether for our own products or a project for another manufacturer, differentiate us from our overseas competitors.

We enjoy hearing from our customers who express their strong appreciation for our dedication to delivering high quality using North American labor. For more than 40 years, we’ve pledged to build our products here, and will continue to do so for years to come.
