Others find the concept of working with a spouse at best, dangerous, and, at worst, a direct path to marital ruin. The owners of MIJA have overcome the odds and have been successful at both growing their business and making their marriage work.

People know that MIJA stands for MIchaela and Jack McSheffrey. Yet, most of us were unaware that they will be celebrating two milestone anniversaries in the next month: 50 years of marriage and 45 years in business.

Even after forty five years, MIJA continues look to the future through product innovation and product development providing pressure solutions for the life safety industry. MIJA’s newest product offering is the electronic Critical Alert for medical oxygen management. The Critical Alert for Oxygen is the first in its class to provide a low oxygen alarm for oxygen tanks with post valve regulators. It warns patients, caregivers, and medical professionals alike when a medical oxygen tank is getting low, making oxygen management safer, easier to manage, and less stressful.
